Members of our team perform with internationally recognised groups such as the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, TEXO Deeside Caledonia Pipe Band, Buchan Peterson Pipe Band and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo Pipes & Drums, and have appeared at prestigious events including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and alongside André Rieu’s Johann Strauss Orchestra.

We are the principal supplier in the North East for authentic Scottish cultural experiences tailored to visiting groups and corporate clients. History of Alba Bagpipes

​

Alba Bagpipes was founded by Barry Evans, a Scottish bagpiper with over 30 years of experience. In early 2010, Barry combined his recent university degree with his passion for piping, leading to the creation of Alba Bagpipes. Over the years, Barry has had the privilege of performing with some of the North East of Scotland’s finest pipe bands, including Oldmeldrum R.B.L, Grampian Police Pipe Band, Buchan Pipe Band, Deeside Caledonia, and, most recently, Police Scotland Fife.

In late 2016, Barry passed the full leadership of Alba Bagpipes to his younger brother, Rikki Evans. Under Rikki’s leadership, the company continues to uphold the same high standards of professionalism and service that Barry established from the very beginning.
