Alba Bagpipes is a multi award winning Professional Scottish Entertainment company based in the North East of Scotland.  We specialise in providing traditional Scottish music for all manner of events and occasions including Weddings, Funerals, Burns Suppers, Birthday Parties, St Andrews Day, Hogmanay and much much more.  There are few events that don’t benefit from the uplifting and stirring sound of the great Highland Bagpipe.

Alba Bagpipes has the largest number of Professional Pipers, Side Drummers & Tenor Drummers for hire in the North East of Scotland.  We have some of the most talented Pipers in the world with most winning major pipe band championships such as the World, European, UK, British and Scottish Championships.  Our players compete or have competed in the top piping grades in the world including Grade 1.  Our pipers perform with various Pipe Bands & Groups which include, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Inveraray & District Pipe Band, TEXO Deeside Caledonia Pipe Band, Portlethen & District Pipe Band & Cupar Angus Pipe Band.  Our pipers have performed all over the world in concerts and events including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and with Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra.

As well as having Professional Pipers for hire, we have Highland Dancers, Side Drummers, Tenor Drummers, Guitarists / Singers available which will compliment any type of event.  Alba Bagpipes have also created an all Scottish based music show called The Granite City Scottish Music Show.  This show is owned and produced by Alba Bagpipes and is fully packed with piping, dancing & top quality Scottish Entertainment.  Alba Bagpipes also has a great connection with pipe bands in the North East of Scotland and through ourselves you can book a pipe band for any event.

History of Alba Bagpipes

​

Alba Bagpipes was established by Barry Evans, a Scottish bagpiper with over 30 years experience.  Early in 2010, Barry decided to join together his recent University degree with his passion for piping, with the result being Alba Bagpipes.  Barry has been fortunate enough to play in some of the finest Pipe Bands the North East of Scotland has to offer including Grampian Police Pipe Band, Buchan Pipe Band and most recently Police Scotland Fife.  In late 2016 Barry handed full reins of Alba Bagpipes to his younger brother Rikki Evans.  The company continues to provide that professional excellent service which it based itself on at the very beginning.
